Welcome to Cabrini Co-op!

This Catholic Co-op was created to give our children an opportunity to take a class together as they become who God created them to be. We know it is not enough for our children to be well-educated; we want them to be well-rounded, articulate, and above all, virtuous.

Mother Cabrini has given us her model of education as one that prioritizes moral formation,  love for God, and love for neighbor.

At Cabrini Co-op, the children will be surrounded by teachers who are practicing Catholics and are striving to live saintly lives. The children will not only be called to meet academic standards for each class offered, but more importantly will be a part of a team of students who will all be striving for excellence in virtue. For more information on this, please read about it in the section titled Holy Motivation.

Our website is designed to keep parents and teachers informed about the latest news, events, and resources in the co-op community. Our goal is to provide a valuable platform for parents to stay connected. Please reach out with any questions!

Rooms 3, 4 and 5 have their own bathrooms. Please assist your children as needed!

The women’s bathroom in the hall has a changing station.

The chapel is available for moms who want privacy while nursing, or if a little one needs a space for quiet.

Time =

We are pushing our start time back to 9:30! First session will be from 9:30-10:20, second session is from 10:25-11:15. We hope this accommodates all our families’ needs!

Sacraments in Sparta =

Mass and Adoration/Confessions will be available just one block south of the United Methodist Church at Saint Patrick’s.

Please note that Mass at Saint Patrick’s will still be held at 8:15 (it was previously discussed that Father may move it earlier, but he is not). Also, Saint Patrick’s usually has Adoration and Confessions from 11-12. If/when this is cancelled due to a funeral we will let you know that week  on our “events” page blog.

Weekly Rental Fee

We will be collecting a 5$ weekly fee from each family to cover our rental fee of 30$/hour. Erin Klinkner will be our treasurer, so she will be handling the weekly collection. Please connect with her for any stumbling blocks you may have in this regard, or if you’d like to pay monthly or per semester.

New and updated for 2026-27:

2026-2027 School year classes offered:

We are still considering options for the upcoming school year.  Take a look at what we have planned so far!

Classes offered to all grades, ages 3+

Ballet (10$/week, hoping to get this cost lowered)

Art Club (10$/week, also looking into group-rate options that might lower the cost)

High School:

Theatre Club (lead by our very own Margaret Canter, senior in high school who has written a play for students to produce). This may also be open to middle school students who have an interest in acting/producing.

Intro to Sewing: start a new hobby or improve on your current skills with Mrs. Bushmaker! She will be running a 7week sewing class.

Other potential options as of today (mid April): High School Debating Class, and High School intro to European History. Both would be offered by Catholic moms with degrees in these areas.

Middle School:

Science: This would be a supplemental class that conducts science experiments that correspond with Berean Builders Science in the Ancient World (offered through Memoria Press). We will be selecting experiments to do in class. Students will be expected to do the assigned reading prior to class. I believe there is a workbook available for students to fill out during or after co-op.

We may also have a European History Class offered for middle school. Details are being ironed out.

Intro to Sewing: start a new hobby or improve on your current skills with Mrs. Bushmaker! She will be running a 7week sewing class.

Grade School:

Mature grade schoolers are welcome to join our middle school science experiments class. (See above).

Storytime and Craft: Two co-op moms from 2025-26 want to continue with reading quality books to our little ones and end with a craft.

We are also hoping to have gym time available for this age, as they can use some wiggle time after stories and crafts!

The Methodist Church is furnished with a playroom with rocking chairs and a bathroom. Moms with littles are welcome to use this space!

Hello,
I’m interested in learning more but I’m a little confused on how the co-op/classes work

I am interested in Middle School Chemistry and Drawing for one child. At this time, we are flexible with scheduling. How many middle school students are allowed? What is the final registration cutoff date? Thank you!
